In a ruling handed down on 12 October 2015, the Montpellier Court of Appeal classified a blog hosted by a news website as a personal contribution space. Consequently, in order to be held criminally liable for insult and defamation, the site's publication director must have been aware of the message published on the blog before it went online and not have reacted promptly.
